Being a journalist is not an easy task. Like any other professional they follow strict roles and responsibilities. They carry these out along with all the essentials aspects of this career to be succeed in this field. They usually work in various areas regarding about life, current events, disaster, and the likes. They find the information behind the stories and then present them to the public. Their task depends on what organization they belong to. When they are under a large organization they normally handles only one task at a time because they have vast staff and manpower whereas in small organization they have do different task because of the small number of manpower and staff.

There are a lot of different reasons why one choose to become a journalist such as the desire to write, the desire to influenced people for good, the desire to be known, and the desire for knowledge to name a few. The best journalist recognizes their role as the servants of the people. They use their skills in writing to improve the life of other people with the help of the information that they share to the public. They also are the voices of the voiceless and most of them defend the rights of ordinary people. Information is important to increase one's knowledge. In this manner, journalists carefully gather up relevant information so that they can share it to the public.

They ought to also need to build up certain skills and special qualities to become a successful journalist because having a desire is not enough. Watch their surroundings, find things out, and share their discoveries with the public are some of the abilities of a good journalist. They constantly build up their knowledge on many things by learning something new. They develop their own style once they have mastered the basic news story format. So that the news will be easily understood by the public, their writings should be simple and not complicated.
