Choose an Interesting Topic "Get the Best Grade!

By Matthew Davis

You have been assigned a presentation in class. The actual question now is "what subject to present?"

There are lots of informative and interesting presentation subjects that you might select from. You need your presentation to be both these things. If your presentation is educational, but doesn't interest your listeners, they may tune out and not listen to what you've got to say. You'll be able to find many engaging presentation topics at AboutTopics.com that will allow you to make a great presentation.

Some subjects you might consider are listed below.

1) If you could go back in time and spend the evening dining and talking to one person whose life you find fascinating, who would it be? What things would you want to talk with him/her about? What kind of things would you be drinking and eating in that time? Consider what his/her home could be like, what type of food would be served, and what might be going on around you. For example, you might decide to have dinner with King Tut, Pancho Villa, or Elvis Presley.

2) What is your favourite entertainment or pastime, and how could you turn that into a job? Contemplate how you would earn money at it, who would be your paying clients, and how would you find that type of customer and make sure they know about you? For instance, if your favorite thing to do is play computer console games, maybe you could become a program developer that creates and tests video games. What sort of consumers would you be creating games for, and how would you go about advertising to reach them? If your customers are often teenagers, then promoting your product during the nightly reports doubtless would not reach too many of them. What else might you try?

3) If you could be any kind of animal, what would it be? Where would you live, and what would you eat? What other animals would you be afraid of, and how would you run from them? This would be a great and fascinating way of writing about an animal, since it might be told from your own first person perspective. You'll have to pretend you are that animal, and actually consider what it might be like to be him. As an example, if you needed to be a badger, what would your home look like? What food would you eat, and how would you go about getting it? Do you have to worry about other animals needing to eat you, and if that is so what are your best defenses against them?

4) What would happen if you all of a sudden woke up in a time long ago? Select any time at least 50 years ago. What would you do for fun? Remember, there wouldn't be video console games, and maybe not even electricity. How would you communicate with family members near and far? There wouldn't be cell phones, and perhaps not even a post office. What sort of food would you eat? There wouldn't be microwaves, or pizza pockets, or pop tarts. Would you have to seek your own food? Examples of times you might wake up in include prehistoric times, the middle ages, or maybe trailblazer times.

5) What would happen if you suddenly woke up in a time far into the future? What do you imagine you would see? How would people communicate, dress, live? What sort of vehicles might they drive, and how might food be produced? How would you go about learning to slot in, and learning the advanced technology?
